Tufenkian Resilience Chiva Red 22

This Areni and Tozot field blend from our Chiva vineyard embodies its name. From 70-year-old vines, abandoned for decades and revived in 2020, this wine reflects their remarkable recovery and strong character.

 

The vineyard, located at 1250m on volcanic soil (a mix of sand and limestone) in Vayots Dzor, is certified organic and farmed biodynamically. Grapes are manually harvested in mid-September at full maturity, yielding a super low 5 hl/ha.
